Welcome to AWANA
We're glad you've stopped by to learn about AWANA at Claremont Bible Chapel. AWANA is a weekly children's club (during the school year) for children 3 years old up through 6th grade. Our goal is to offer sound Biblical teaching, encourage Bible memorization, share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, train children to be students of the Word of God, and provide encouragement to parents as they spiritually nurture their children.
Each AWANA night includes three basic segments to achieve these goals. The evening begins with 45 minutes of classroom time where the children memorize Bible verses provided in an AWANA handbook printed specifically for each individual age group. During this time, it is our goal for each child to receive individualized attention from a caring adult leader. This one-on-one interaction, along with the many contests, prizes and awards throughout the year, inspire, excite and motivate the children to succeed in memorizing God's Word. After the time spent in the classroom, each group enjoys a 30-minute game time playing fun and exciting games, unique to AWANA. And finally, there is a large group segment where kids meet together to sing and hear a Bible lesson.
The AWANA program helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. At Claremont Bible Chapel, we hope to not only introduce children to the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, but also encourage them to grow closer to Him -- to be approved workers!
